The fitting, built in

Everything a fitting would change. Without the fitting.

In a golf store the driver on the rack is only the start. The upsell is a fitting, and golfers commonly walk out with a shorter shaft, more head weight, more loft and a thicker grip, each added to the bill. Fittings are useful, but they happen on a warm range with a launch monitor, not on a cold first tee. These four changes come built in:

Will it fit him?

You don't need to know golf to get this right. Three questions:

  1. Is he under 6 feet tall? Standard drivers are built at 45.5" — sized for taller players. At 43.5" this one suits the average-height golfer, who stands closer to the ball and hits the middle of the face more often.
  2. Does he complain about missing fairways? This club is built for accuracy, not for chasing extra distance. If he loses balls to the right or left off the tee, it's aimed squarely at him.
  3. Is his swing slow and gentle? It'll still work. The shaft is labelled stiff, but it bends more like a regular flex, and the shorter length and 11° loft make it easy to get airborne. That suits plenty of golfers in their 60s and 70s.

Right-handed, men's only. Not sure? Give it anyway: holiday orders can be returned unused until January 15, 2027. Have him hold it and take his stance at home before he hits a ball with it.

Questions, answered straight

Why is the shaft only 43.5 inches?
Because length is the quiet reason you miss. Retail drivers ship at 45.5"+ to win demo-day speed numbers; tour pros play about an inch shorter, and clubfitting studies show dispersion tightens dramatically as length comes down. At 43.5" you stand closer, swing a shorter arc, and strike the center far more often.
Will I lose distance?
On paper, an inch of shaft is worth roughly four yards of carry. In practice, off-center strikes cost far more — most golfers keep their distance because they stop hitting the heel and toe.
Do I still need a fitting?
If you play every week and love tinkering with gear, a good fitting can be worth it. For the average golfer, a fitting often ends in the same four changes: a shorter shaft, more head weight, more loft and a thicker grip. Those are built into this driver, so there's no appointment and nothing extra to pay for. See the comparison.
Where do you ship direct orders?
Anywhere in Canada, free and tracked. Orders leave within 2 business days and usually arrive 3–8 business days later. For Christmas delivery, order by December 10. We don't currently ship outside Canada.
Will it fix my slice?
No club fixes an open face. What this build does is shrink the penalty: higher loft adds backspin that fights slice curvature, and the shorter, heavier build helps you square the face more often. Big banana becomes playable fade.
What's the return & warranty policy?
Unused clubs can be returned within 30 days of delivery — and anything ordered between November 1 and December 24 can come back until January 15, 2027 (or 30 days from delivery, whichever is later), so gifts are safe. Every club also carries a 1-year limited warranty. Full details on the shipping & returns page.
